Meet Miss Amelia, number one maiden doe, here at Three Springs. Amelia is the daughter of top goat Martha. Unfortunately, she has not come into season so she has had to sit back and watch the rest of her tribe breed and deliver healthy buck goats aplenty. Amelia is part Toggenburg (Martha) and part Anglo Nubian (Galex – buck). She has the colouring of a British Alpine and the bleat of a mac truck! She is, by far, the most affectionate and playful of my goats. I am crossing my fingers that since she now is running with Pete she will come into season in the autumn.
Amelia is also known as Miss Amelia Jane, Ameliorate and
Mealia. She will usually turn up when the feed is being mixed and she is
particularly fond of chopped up apples – only if Martha has given them the
thumbs up!
